DISCOVERY PROGRAMME
Most startups fail before they ever reach the market. The reason is simple: they begin with solutions instead of understanding problems.
The Discovery Programme is designed to correct this. It is the entry point into the Impact Nexus ecosystem and focuses entirely on transforming raw ideas into validated opportunities grounded in real customer evidence.
Participants are introduced to a structured process of innovation thinking where the primary goal is not to build, but to understand.
Through guided customer discovery, field research, and structured problem analysis, participants learn how to engage directly with users, observe behaviour in real environments, and identify the root causes behind surface-level challenges. This ensures that every venture begins with clarity rather than assumption.
Understanding the Real Problem
Participants are introduced to structured customer discovery methods that help them engage directly with target users and communities. Through interviews, observation, and field research, they learn how to uncover real pain points and behavioural patterns that are often hidden beneath surface-level assumptions. This process ensures that the problem being solved is genuine and worth solving.
Building Evidence-Based Thinking
Instead of immediately focusing on solutions, participants are trained to critically evaluate assumptions and build a strong evidence base. They learn how to define problems clearly, validate them through user feedback, and distinguish between what is perceived and what is actually experienced in the market. This creates clarity and reduces the risk of building irrelevant solutions.
Defining the Opportunity
By the end of the programme, participants are able to translate their research into structured opportunity statements. They develop a validated problem definition, an initial value proposition, and a clear understanding of their target users. This provides a strong foundation for progressing into solution development with confidence and direction.t
